Over 100 items of clothing are sold in the United States every year! Some of them, unfortunately, are purchased in notably crummy establishments. This is where we debate the very worst places to shop for clothing.
First, we argued over the best fruits and vegetables, then the most quintessentially Nicolas Cage films. We now move on to the third bracket, and concern ourselves with the very worst establishments at which one could possibly go clothes-shopping.
Click here to fill out a "worst places to buy clothes" bracket, and put yourself in the running for a chance to win:
- A PlayStation 4 and copy of Madden NFL 25
- A $125 J. Crew gift card
- A pair of "Jeans Lounge Pants" from SkyMall
- A wonderful T-shirt that reads, "Fishin' Is My Mission"
- A hand-selected SkyMall T-shirt
- An SB Nation Bacon shirt
Don't sleep on those SkyMall pants, seriously. Sleep in them, maybe. But never wear them outdoors.
Tomorrow, we'll reveal the bracket we at SB Nation filled out. (How closely your bracket matches ours has no effect on your chance to win. Submitting a bracket in the first place will give you the same random shot as everyone else.)
A preview of some notable items in the field:
Comments sections. Here at SB Nation, most of our spam accounts advertise making $28471 a month working from home, based upon anecdotal reports from a step-aunt's buddy. But once in a while, one of them will come along and hawk some jackets or something. Maybe they're good jackets! Who knows?
Chevron. We've all seen T-shirts of whatever available at gas stations. I've even seen sweatpants. The Holy Grail, I think, would be to find dress slacks for sale at a Chevron. I just know it's out there somewhere.
Nebraska. This is where said Chevron is, probably.
AutoZone. I saw some of those fake "SECURITY" T-shirts for sale at an AutoZone counter once. The cashier may well have been selling them directly, and without authorization from AutoZone. Still counts!
American Apparel. NOPE
Staples. It might not be the actual very worst place in the world to buy clothes, but it's surely the saddest. Never buy pants from an establishment that also sells reams of printer paper in bulk.
If you feel as though there are any terrible clothes-shopping establishments we've forgotten, please feel free to say so in the comments below.
